Step 5
Develop instructional strategy

Step 6
Select instruments to aid in instructional strategy.

Step 7
Design and conduct formative evaluation of instruction.

Step 8

This design is learner centered focusing on the needs of the learners and selecting instruments to aid in instructional strategies.  Planning is taking place in preparing the lesson and individualizing objectives to meet each students specific needs.  Looking at the state standards and writing performance objectives on specific content allows the educator  and student to make goals on becoming successful in mastering the criteria.

Conducting formal and summative evaluations helps the teacher focus on meaningful performance taking place, thus measuring outcomes in a reliable and valid way.  It allows revision and growth in instructional strategies and performance.  Data can be collected and analyzed and educators can recieve the feedback they need to guide in implementation of effective instructional strategies and technology.

Using the instructional design model guides teachers in a series of steps in achieving a meaningful, learner centered goal oriented lesson.  It creates confidence and stability amongst teachers with its consistancy and is put together by a team of experts allowing the most indivdualized  and successful learner outcome.
